Parks & Recreation
Residents of the Town of Greenwich Town of Greenwich enjoy access to multiple parks and recreation throughout town including town beaches, golf course, skating rink, tennis courts, and numerous parks and playgrounds.
Overlooking Long Island sound and views of Manhattan, Greenwich Point has something for all ages. Located on shores of Old Greenwich and one of the premier amenities, Greenwich Point (aka Tod’s Point) offers swimming, fishing, boating, water sports, marina, nature trails, picnic tables, grills and snack bar. Other outdoor recreational venues include several ballparks/sports fields, nature preserves, Captains Island, Roger Sherman Park (home to many concerts/events including the popular Annual Town Party) to name a few.
Travel/Commute
With four station stops in Greenwich (Greenwich, Cos Cob, Riverside, Old Greenwich), residents enjoy easy access to New York City and Stamford via Metro North Railroad. Click here for details on purchasing daily and/or annual parking passes.
Additionally, Greenwich is also ideally located with easy access to three airports—Westchester County Airport, New York’s LaGuardia and JFK International Airport.
Schools
Greenwich Public Schools consist of eleven elementary schools, three middle schools, and one high school with an alternative high school program. Four of the elementary schools (Hamilton Avenue School, International School at Dundee, Julian Curtiss School, and New Lebanon School) are magnet schools, as is Western Middle School. Greenwich also offers a variety of private school options from preschool to high school.
